This notice supplements the Stairway Mortgage Privacy Policy and applies only to California residents. It is issued by NEXA Mortgage LLC (NMLS #1660690), doing business as Stairway Mortgage, under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA”). Last updated: October 24, 2026.
What this notice covers. The CCPA does not apply to information covered by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act or the Fair Credit Reporting Act, which includes most information in a mortgage application or credit report. That information is protected under those laws and our Privacy Policy. This notice covers everything else, such as website visits, app use, quote requests, marketing and advertising.

Face ID and Touch ID stay on your device; we never receive them.
Sources. You; your devices and browsers; lenders, credit bureaus and verification services; Plaid and property data providers; referral partners; lead, advertising and visitor-identification services; and public records.
Purposes. To respond to inquiries and quote requests; take and process loan applications; operate our website and app; communicate with you; advertise and market our services; prevent fraud and secure our systems; comply with law; and the other purposes in our Privacy Policy.
Selling and sharing. We do not sell personal information for money. We do “share” identifiers and internet activity with advertising platforms such as Meta and Google, through website and app tags and hashed customer lists, to show you our own ads, and we use visitor-identification services that receive your IP address and page visits. That counts as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CCPA. We do not knowingly sell or share information of anyone under 16. When you ask us to connect you with a business partner, for example to claim a partner consultation, we give that partner your name and phone number at your direction; this is not a sale.
Sensitive personal information. We use it only to provide the services you request, verify identity, prevent fraud, and comply with law, as the CCPA permits. We do not use it to infer characteristics about you, so the right to limit its use does not apply.
Retention. We keep each category as long as needed for the purpose we collected it, and as long as the law requires. Loan records are generally kept 3 to 7 years or longer; website and advertising data for as long as the analytics or advertising tool that collected it keeps it, under that tool’s settings.
Your rights. You may ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we collected, used, disclosed, sold or shared, and give you a copy;
- delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- stop selling or sharing your personal information (opt out); and
- not discriminate against you for using these rights.
How to make a request. Email privacy@stairwaymortgage.com or call (954) 993-1625. To opt out of sharing, use the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link at the bottom of our website. We also treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as an opt-out for that browser. We verify requests by matching information you give us with what we have on file. You may use an authorized agent, who must give us your signed permission; we may also ask you to verify your identity directly. We respond within 45 days, and if we need up to 45 more days we will tell you why.
Notice of Financial Incentive: The Drawing. To enter, you give us your name, email and phone number. Winners receive either a $500 credit toward closing costs on a future mortgage with us, or a complimentary consultation, valued at $500, from one of our business partners. If you choose the consultation, we give that partner your name and phone number so they can contact you. We estimate the value of your information at about the value of the prize, based on what it costs us to reach new clients. Entering is optional. You may withdraw at any time by emailing privacy@stairwaymortgage.com.
Shine the Light. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing without your consent.
