I recently bought a house in Torrance, CA and Jim was my lender. He was absolutely exceptional as a lender. Most lenders DO NOT take the time to sit down with you and chat over the phone for many hours like Jim does. After I applied for my pre-qualification letter, he called and discussed the entire housing process and what to expect next in terms of paperwork and process. This is essential for first-time home buyers and even seasoned buyers. You get confidence and a sense of security when you know your lender is always accessible and is willing to chat on the phone with you to help sort out paperwork and issues at every step of the way.

Everyone warns you how horrible/difficult it is to be in escrow. Throughout the home buying process, Jim and Fidel made everything more than bearable. They were always on hand to answer my many (first-time home buyer) questions and walk me through the process. When obstacles came up and my loan program needed to change, they were quick to make the changes and ensure there was no delay. They worked with me to make sure my payments would be feasible and that everything would close on time. I would definitely use them again and would be happy to recommend them to my friends and family.

Run, don't walk to work with Jim and his team. Jim helped us get financing when it seemed like an impossible feat. It was hard enough to be managing a home purchase 2000 miles away, but add to that an extremely competitive market and being self-employed, and it seemed impossible until Jim's team got involved. Jim was not only responsive; he consistently went above and beyond by making clear recommendations, working his magic, and ensuring that financing wasn’t a barrier for buying our dream house in one of the most competitive markets in the country.

Jim and his team are great to work with! We have used Jim twice with our home mortgage. Both times, the process was smooth and uneventful (which is what I wanted). He has kept in touch with us and contacted us when he felt it was the right time for us to refinance! I was amazed at our refinancing process – it took them about a little over two weeks to process all our information and close! I love the new online process of submitting all the information they require – it made it super easy for me to organize and gather all the documents.

Jim and his team were great working through the mortgage loan process, given the flood of refis happening right now causing longer-than-usual closings. I'm an RE investor. Had multiple loan officers but one really stands out – JIM BLACKBURN. Now, he is working on a third deal with me. He does go the extra mile. A few examples from the past: I have tons of properties and live in China with unique income (he made it work!). He called me in China at 1 AM to get information to close the deal. He is super efficient with collecting the right documents upfront to avoid a lot of back and forth later with processors. You can't go wrong with Jim.
